Tictag’s approach of searching is a combination of tag search through del.icio.us system and conventional engine search through yahoo and google.
Keeping in mind that the related tags of a particular search term can be as many as our notion of relatedness affords, we choose to filter our results keeping those that either are related to the search term within the del.icio.us system or have been assigned to at least one of the first eight url results of google or yahoo.
This way tictag escapes the maximally eleven related tags of del.icio.us sneaking into the long tail of related tags and introducing us with much more tag results many times enlightening, funny and unexpected ones as well.
